Selena Gomez confirmed via her official Twitter that their lead single would be titled "Who Says".

The single Who Says was previously scheduled to premiere live on On Air with Ryan Seacrest March 10, but was pushed up two days early to March 8.

In February 2011, Deadline.com reported that Universal Pictures and Strike Entertainment had acquired the novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher with Selena Gomez attached to the lead.

Thirteen Reasons Why, also known spelled as Th1rteen R3asons Why, is a 2007 New York Times best-selling young-adult fiction novel written by Jay Asher. The book was published by RazorBill, a young adult imprint of Penguin Books.

On February 8th, 2011 Universal Studios picked up the novel to be developed into a movie with Selena Gomez cast as Hannah Baker.

currently is the new face of Sears back-to-school fashion ad campaign. As part of the endorsement deal Selena Gomez is featured in their television commercials and recorded "I'm Gonna Arrive (Don't Just Go Back)".

In August, 2009, Selena Gomez hosted the "Sears Arrive Air Band Casting Call" – to select five people for the first-ever "Sears Air Band", which performed at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on September 13, 2009.

In October 2008, Selena Gomez launched her own production company, July Moon Productions, and partnered with XYZ Films to create star vehicles for Gomez. As part of the agreement Gomez will have the opportunity to be able option articles, hire writers and create talent packages to shop to studios.

As part of the deal, "XYZ Films will allow Gomez to star in and produce at least two films. Variety reported that: "In August, XYZ [Films] inked a similar deal with Time Inc. and management-production company the Collective to finance the development of the print media giant's content for the bigscreen [...] As part of the July Moon-XYZ deal, [Selena] Gomez will have the ability to cherry-pick projects from the vast Time Inc. library, which includes Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune and Life."

In October, 2009, Selena Gomez announced her plan to launch her own fashion line, called "Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez", which is set to launch in fall 2010. The clothing line will consist of and feature bohemian dresses, floral tops, jeans, skirts, jackets, scarves and hats, all made from recycled or eco-friendly materials.

Selena Gomez was involved in the UR Votes Count campaign which helped encourage teenagers to learn more about 2008 Presidential candidates (Barack Obama and John McCain).

In October 2008, Selena Gomez participated in St. Jude's Children's Hospital "Runway For Life" benefit. Selena Gomez is a spokesperson for Borden Milk; she is featured in the campaign's print and television ads. Selena Gomez is the ambassador of DoSomething.org after being involved with the charity Island Dog, which help dogs in Puerto Rico. She got involved while filming Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie in Puerto Rico. Selena Gomez is a spokesperson for State Farm Insurance, and is featured in their TV commercials; which air on the Disney Channel, to raise awareness of being a safe driver. Gomez is also involved with the charity RAISE Hope For Congo, the charity helps raise awareness about the violence against Congolese women, in the Congo.

Selena Gomez is involved in Disney's Friends for Change, an organization which promotes "environmently-friendly behavior", and appears in its public service announcements to raise awareness for the cause on the Disney Channel. Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, and the Jonas Brothers recorded "Send It On", a charity single which serves as the theme song for Disney's Friends for Change in 2009. The song debuted on the Hot 100 at number twenty. Disney's Friends For Change will direct all of its proceeds from "Send it On" to environmental charities to the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.

On October 6, 2009, Selena Gomez made a surprise visit to a Los Angeles elementary school as part of the "A Day Made Better" program that was sponsored by OfficeMax. During her visit, Selena Gomez gave the school an award, and gave them $1,000 worth of school supplies. Gomez spent the day with the students and talked about the importance of giving back to the community.

I stand with UNICEF in the belief that we can change that number from 25,000 to zero. Selena Gomez was named spokesperson for UNICEF's 2009 Trick-or-Treat campaign, for the second year in a row. Selena Gomez & the Scene (often stylized as Selena Gomez ♥ the Scene) is an American Pop rock band that formed in 2008. The band consists of Selena Gomez on vocals, Ethan Robert on guitar, Joey Clement on bass, Greg Garman on drums, and Dane Forrest on Keyboards.

During an interview with Jocelyn Vena, of MTV in August 2008, Selena Gomez said of her future music career that: "I'm going to be in a band — no Selena Gomez stuff. I'm not going to be a solo artist. I think that I don't want my name attached to it. I will be singing, and I'm learning drums and playing electric guitar. Gomez along with her band, Selena Gomez & The Scene released their debut studio album, Kiss & Tell on September 29, 2009. The album debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 with the sales of over 66,000 copies in its first week of release. The album's first single, "Falling Down" was released on August 21, 2009, and the song's music video was premiered after the world premiere of Gomez' TV-movie Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie on August 28, 2009.

Selena Gomez and her band performed the song on Dancing with the Stars season nine. Gomez stated, via her Twitter that the band was currently preparing to release their second single, "Naturally". The music video was shot on November 14, 2009 and premiered on Disney Channel following the premiere of Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation on December 11, 2009, and the single was officially released the same day.

They are currently on their House of Blues 2010 Tour. The band also performed their second single, "Naturally" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest

"Whoa Oh! (Me vs. Everyone)" is the 1st track and single from Forever the Sickest Kids' debut album Underdog Alma Mater. The song was released on April 1, 2008. Whoa Oh! video aired on MTV's TRL on June 24. The group, billed as "Disney's Friends For Change" stems from Disney's environmental initiative of the same name. "Send It On" song was released on August 11, 2009 in the US as a charity single in order to benefit international environmental associations. "Send It On" was written by Adam Anders, Nikki Hassman and Peer Astrom who have previously written the song "Hoedown Throwdown" for Miley Cyrus.

Album of Selena Gomez...2009: Kiss and Tell. Kiss and Tell is the debut album of Selena Gomez. Selena Gomez's “pop-rock-techno-inspired” debut albumwill be released by Hollywood Records on September 29, 2009.

In July 2008 Selena Gomez signed a record deal with Hollywood Records.During an interview with MTV in August 2008, Selena Gomez announced that she was planning on releasing a debut album in 2009. “It’s what I’ve gone through with heartache, friendships, and things like that,” Selena Gomez tells the June/July issue of Teen Vogue. “I want my fans to know me a little bit better after they hear this record.” The album was originally set to be released in the "summer of 2009".but, People Magazine reported in May 2009 that the album was set for a September 2009 release.

Selena Gomez said during an interview with MTV that the album's music genre will have a pop rock feel to it, and that she plans to play instruments on some of the album's tracks, Selena Gomez said "I will be singing, and I'm learning drums and playing electric guitar"."I basically want to make music that is fun and that parents and kids can jump around to and have a good time to,” Selena revealed.

Selena Gomez also recorded a song, entitled "Headfirst", but it will not be on the record.

Writing on her official website, the Wizards Of Waverly Place star explained that Selena Gomez had "taken my time to find my sound" and would embark on an "intense boot camp" in music over the coming weeks.

Selena Gomez told Just Jared Jr.com: "That the album will be about Hollywood and what people think about it and essentially how plastic it is sometimes. It's fun and I think girls can relate to it somewhat; for me it was because of Hollywood but it can really relate to a mean girl, an ex-boyfriend, to whoever."

Selena Gomez also wrote on her MySpace:"I want it to be fun, energetic, empowering but very good.

better than the first
The first Studio DC special, hosted by Dylan and Cole Spouse, was rather so-so, despite being better than I'd expected. This second special is a lot better, and feels like it has a lot more (despite also being a half-hour special). The first one had a really long sketch, and a few musical numbers (some of which were also long). The scenes in this special were a lot shorter, which I guess allows time for more material and characters.

This special has many Muppet characters missing from the first production, including Fozzie, Beaker, Scooter, and Camilla (okay, so some were in the opening sequence in the first one). Beaker's big musical duet was the highlight of this special, but I also liked the subplot involving Camilla turning into a turkey (it's a shame that we didn't get to see how it happened).

All in all, this felt more like a Muppet production than the first special, and I like the Muppets more than any of the celebrities in this special (and aside from Selena Gomez, I can't remember any of their names; At least with the first one I already knew the names of some of the celebrities, and remembered the ones that I didn't know of).

The film had a 3D effect which was not removable in the DVD, but only for some European DVD releases. A Suite Life spinoff, Arwin!, was supposed to be the original Selena Gomez vehicle, but was not picked up by Disney. Gomez also took part as the lead character in another pilot, What's Stevie Thinking?, a spin-off of the Disney Channel Original Series, Lizzie McGuire, but it was also not picked up.
